The Dhofar wind farm has produced its first kilowatt-hour of electricity, a milestone in Oman in utility-scale wind energy generation.
Funded by the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD), the project is being implemented by Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar) through an EPC consortium of GE and TSK. Successfully connected to Oman’s electricity transmission grid last week during the commissioning of the Dhofar Wind Farm first wind turbine, which is now supplying clean power.
Trade links & Services (TLS) scope included Excavation, 3kV Electrical Cable & Fiber Optics cable laying to loop Wind Generator Towers & Installation of Terminations, earthing, etc., Testing and Commissioning. Additionally construction of 132kV Double Circuit Over Headline. TSK certified this with a completion certificate for our performance.
