Eid Al Adha Mubarak!
Trade Links family would like to extend our best wishes to you and your family on this blessed occasion of Eid al Adha, Mubarak!
Eid al Adha is a three to four days festival that starts on the 10th day of the last month of the Islamic Lunar Calendar, Duh-al-hijjah. The celebration of this day depends upon the legitimate sighting of the moon. Also, this day follows the completion of the annual holy pilgrimage of Hajj- an obligatory acts of worship for all Muslim’s. This is also one of the fundamental practice followed as per Five Pillars of Islam.
The direct translation to Eid al Adha is “Celebration of Sacrifice” and it is a representation of events written in the holy book of “Quran” . This day honors the sacrifice of Prophet Mohammed’s devotion towards Allah, his readiness to sacrifice his son, Ismail. This command from Allah was a test of Prophet Mohammed’s willingness and commitment to obey his lord without any questions.
On this big day, Muslims perform the Eid prayer by gathering together in the large field or at the local Mosque. It is followed by an holy offering to Allah as a “Qurbani” translating as sacrifice, sacrificing of an animal like goat, sheep or camel for those who can afford. This Qurbani meat is parted into three shares and offered to family, friends and relatives and the third part is donated to those who are in need. The celebration continues with gathering of family and friends, sharing food exchanging gifts and spending an enjoyable time together.
At this holy occasion, we request you all to share the blessings of Allah with others and to the ones who are in most need. Engage yourselves in prayers and take utmost care of yourselves and family’s heath. May allah bring upon peace, harmony and health to all of us.
Kullu am wa antum bikhair, (May you be well throughout the year)
